<p><strong>Every Sat in October </strong>at 8pm (and in to <strong>November</strong> at 7.30pm) you can catch Southend’s free Seafront Fireworks! Yes you read that right, totally free. The atmosphere along Marine Parade is buzzing and the show, which is around 10 minutes, is not disappointing – expect plenty of oohs and ahhs! Grab a bag of chips (plus some doughnuts), and position yourself anywhere from Sealife Adventure to Genting Casino for the best views of the barge-based display. Do get there early though to bag yourself a parking spot, it gets very busy! (<strong>Sat 25 Oct</strong>, <strong>1</strong>, <strong>8</strong> &amp; <strong>15 Nov</strong>, 8pm. <p>Clacton is another of our county&#8217;s top seaside locations providing us with cheap thrills this bonfire night, well completely free actually. Head to the Pier on <strong>8 Nov</strong> for the 8pm firework display, with special low-noise fireworks for those who don&#8217;t enjoy the big bangs. Watch the sky light up and the water change colour with the dazzling reflections. <strong>(Sat</strong> <strong>8 Nov</strong>, 8pm. Free and no need to book).</p>

<p>You can make a day of it at Marsh Farm before the evening&#8217;s Family Fireworks display (last entry to the farm is 4.30pm). There will hot food available all day as usual, up until 5.45pm and the funfair rides and soft play will close at 6pm, ready for the 6.30pm firework display. The show promises to be magical and the perfect ending to a fun-filled day at the farm  – pack the pjs and keep fingers crossed for a smooth car-to-bed transition. <p>Full disclosure, this is not strictly their firework display. But from the Anchor&#8217;s large water-edge garden you can get an awesome view of the fireworks at Marsh Farm across the River Crouch, and help to raise money for Partyman Magic Makers with purchases on the night. Pop in for a drink, or book yourself a pre-display dinner at the restaurant (the food here is a delight). Or make it extra special and book one of the garden pods to enjoy a meal with a spectacular view. (<strong>Sat 1 Nov</strong> &amp; <strong>Sun 2 Nov</strong>, 6pm).</p>

<p>For a relaxed evening on the actual night in question, head to The Chequers where the you can grab a drink and watch the sparkling display. The bonfire on the green will be lit at 7pm, followed by a spectacular fireworks display starting at 7.30pm. The restaurant will be open all evening, serving delicious food and drinks for you to enjoy in the warmth and comfort indoors! Outside, you can keep cosy with mulled wine and a selection of light refreshments from the food truck and garden bar. (<strong>Wed 5 Nov</strong>, 7pm).</p>

<p>You get plenty of bang for you buck at Barleylands –&nbsp;included in your ticket is usual access to the farm, fairground rides and play barn, as well as Skittleman magic shows, a pre-firework party with Skittleman and Barley, and of course the low-bang fireworks at 6.30pm. The party doesn&#8217;t end there –&nbsp;entertainment continues until 8pm. <p>Halloween and fireworks in one spook-tacular night –&nbsp;arrive ready to enjoy the fairground rides for all ages and delicious sweet and savoury treats from the food stalls, before the dazzling fireworks display that lights up the marshes! <p>Gates open at 5.30pm at Maldon&#8217;s Promenade Park, ready for the music and entertainment to start at 6pm. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, with the display exploding into life at 7.30pm. The amphitheater area is the perfect spot apparently, and also where you will find the Winter Warmers Bar for all your mulled wine, spiced cider and hot toddy needs! Be warned, last year tickets were available from retail outlets and the High Street, but this year they are only available to buy online, and last year was a sell out so book tickets quick! <p>Chelmsford City Racecourse will come alive on Sun 2 Nov with their spectacular firework display, set to music. There will be thrilling fairground rides, mouth-watering street food, and buzzing bars with live DJs to keep the party going! General Admission tickets give entry to the racecourse to view the fireworks display and to the funfair and entertainment. Or upgrade to a VIP ticket for an elevated experience – it will give you access to the Summer Marquee, a covered area that includes unreserved seating, premium loos, private bar and viewing terrace for the fireworks, plus a hot drink on arrival! <p>Most firework displays are pretty awe inspiring but the Firework Spectacular at Down Hall goes the extra mile with several packages to make the night even more special. Doors open at 6pm which is when the children&#8217;s disco and face painting starts, followed by the display. There will be delicious food to buy as well – burgers and pizza, then doughnuts and tasty toffee apples. There&#8217;s a selection of ticket options too –&nbsp;general admission (Adults, £35; Children, £25; Under 2s, free. Includes hot drinks throughout the evening), and VIP Terrace (Adults, £70; Children, £45; Under 2s, free), which has the addition of a reserved table in the gardens, pizza and fries, and a glass of prosecco, beer or soft drink.
