<p>First on our what’s new in Essex right now go-to? Head to Cressing’s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ottospumpkinpatch.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Otto’s Pumpkin Patch</a>&nbsp;so the kids (OK, you) can choose one for <strong>31 Oct</strong>. Tickets go on sale <strong>7 Sept</strong>, with the patch opening from <strong>30 Sept</strong>. And it’s not just pumpkin picking, either. There’s a decorated faraway forest, games area, giant art board, Pumpkin House and Tree and Otto’s Den. Hot and cold drinks are available – plus you can even bring your own picnic.</p>

<p>Know a&nbsp;scout or guide around&nbsp;Southend that&nbsp;fancies taking to the stage?&nbsp;The Gang Show – a centrepiece of the scouting and guiding calendar – is back at The Palace Theatre next <strong>Feb</strong>, and is looking for scouts and guides for cast/band members.&nbsp;The bi-annual variety show gives those in Year 8 and above the chance to sing, dance and act in front of a live audience – with no previous experience necessary. You’re missing out. Their ground floor’s packed with furniture, gifts, ceramics and more; but they’ve now opened up the entire second floor as a complete clearance outlet. Here you’ll find a ton of goods as well as more quirky finds and imperfect pieces – at heavily reduced prices. It’s open seven days a week, with a large free car park.</p>

<p><a href="https://hainaultforest.org/discover-the-forest/foxburrows-farm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Foxburrows Farm</a>, in Hainault Forest Country Park, is now open after a three year restoration period. What can you expect? Lots of new animals including sheep, pigs and goats, with many more introduced over the coming months. It’s well worth a visit, with free admission (although the Farm does ask for an optional £1 per child or £2 adult donation). And that’s not all – in the Forest itself there’s a brand&nbsp;<a href="https://hainaultforest.org/discover-the-forest/outdoor-adventure-play/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">new&nbsp;outdoor adventure space</a>, with&nbsp;climbing frame, huge slide and three separate towers, all made from natural wood.</p>

Priced at £26,995, it’s based on 30 guests on the Friday evening; 60 day guests/100 evening guests on the Saturday; and 30 guests for Sunday brunch. Plus your accommodation, meals, wine, Prosecco, canapés, choice of ceremony space, wedding breakfast, DJ and evening buffet. It&#8217;s a done deal.</p>

<p>Luxury camping on Mersea Island just got a whole lot easier thanks to the launch of&nbsp;<a href="https://merseabarnsglamping.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Mersea Barns Glamping</a>. There’s two safari tents that sleep six in three bedrooms, all with a large living/dining area, underfloor heating, shower room and kitchenette. Or choose to stay in the&nbsp;shepherds hut, which sleeps two. This also comes complete with kitchenette, bathroom and fixed full-size double bed for the ultimate year-round retreat.
