<p>First on our Essex news line-up? The opening of <a href="https://neumapilates.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Neuma Pilates</a> studio, with mat and reformer group pilates for all ages and abilities. Run by instructor Rosie Payne, there&#8217;s also one to one, made to measure sessions available. Beginner and don&#8217;t know the difference between mat and reformer? Mat uses your body weight and small equipment, while reformer works with specialist equipment for resistance exercises, strengthening your body and improving flexibility and mobility.</p>

<p>Sticking with Braintree, Grade II listed theatre <a href="https://www.theinstitutebraintree.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Institute</a> is in the running to win a Tesco Stronger Starts grant. Built in 1862, trustees Lewis Codling and Jim Hollands regularly add music, drama and comedy events to its website, turning the venue into a space the town can be proud of. Running across Braintree Town Centre, Great Notley, Marks Farm and Braintree Coggeshall Express stores, if successful the grant will be put towards tiered seating and toilet refurbishment. Vote from <strong>Oct 24-Jan 25</strong> for <strong>The Bocking Arts Theatre Trust</strong> – its official charity name – using blue tokens given to you at the check-outs.</p>

<p>Alice&nbsp;Goodfellow&nbsp;has been appointed the new Head of <a href="https://www.brentwoodschool.co.uk/prep/welcome-to-prep/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Brentwood Preparatory School</a> from Sept 2024. Formerly Deputy Head for Staffing, Co-curricular and Operations at the Senior School, Alice holds two Master&#8217;s, one in Globalisation and Postnational Communication and another in Education. Expressing enthusiasm for her new role, she&nbsp;said, &#8220;It&#8217;s a great privilege to be appointed as the next Head of Brentwood Prep School, and I&#8217;m committed to continuing its tradition of excellence and innovation.
