We asked; then you voted for the Muddy Stilettos Essex Awards 2024. The competition was fierce, reaching over 10 million people nationally in eight weeks! That goes to show that winning a Muddy Award; one that’s entirely based on the public vote; is definitely something to shout about.

And that’s just what we did when it came to the Muddy Stilettos Essex Awards 2024 winners’ drinks (well, we do like any excuse for a party). We chose to host our drinks for the second year running at Kelvedon’s Old Essex Barn – and it’s not hard to see why. A finalist themselves in the best Event Venue category, this wedding space and restaurant is picture-perfect, thanks to its exposed beams steeped in character.

However, the Essex team couldn’t help themselves when it came to adding a few extra touches. First was Great Dunmow’s Evo Event Hire, adding extra Insta appeal with these light up MUDDYESSEX letters. Of course, a few cheeky winners managed to get just the last three letters in their selfies…

A big shout out goes to Steph Friend Weddings & Film for her photos, and Jake from Pursey Productions, who nabbed winners for interviews and filmed footage of the awards. Both of them are outstanding, as you can see.

Then there was this Luxury Retro Style Photo Booth from Southend’s KMS Hire. Props and an attendant were included, and everyone got to take home their photos at the end. It even had our Muddy Awards logo on it!

As you can see from the pic below – plus the images when you scroll right down – it was a huge hit. Some enjoyed it a lot more than others, but we won’t name names, Neon Leo (it was great fun watching; you guys rocked it!)

Music-wise, we’ve got to say a big thanks to multi award-winning wedding and events DJ Samuel Hann. Based in Colchester, he knew exactly what tracks to play to get everyone in the party mood.

When it came to food and drink the winners were truly spoilt. Old Essex Barn were on hand with pink Prosecco and bottled lager – plus coke and orange juice for all the designated drivers.

And then there was THIS grazing table from Brentwood’s Fig & Feast. The picture says it all, but at the end of the night there were a fair few winners (plus the Muddy Team) taking any remaining cheese, crackers, fruit and more home to devour.

Goodie bags for the Muddy Stilettos Essex Awards 2024 drinks were also a hit, starting with beautiful pink cupcakes supplied by Witham’s Butterfly Bakery.

Winners also got to take home treats from Fairfields Farm Crisps, Sipp’d Drinks, Tappd Cocktails, TEMPRD Chocolate and Tiptree Gin. They’re all Essex brands of course – what else do you expect?

As the winners arrived Editor Claire (below right) and Commercial Manager Charlie (below left) were on hand to greet everyone. We’ve got to applaud Maison de Clements’ Linda, who’d recently broken her back but still wanted to come along and accept her award!

It was then on to Claire’s speech, congratulating the Muddy Stilettos Essex Awards 2024 winners before handing out certificates.

The event was a huge success, even when the weather threw hailstones, rain, wind and eventually sunshine at everyone! All that remains is to put your hands together for the Muddy Stilettos Essex Awards 2024 winners! Oh, and the end pictures from KMS Hire are well worth a laugh!
