Maldon’s The Gallery is a newly-opened space showcasing original art in a recently-renovated Grade II listed building. Opened by artist and owner Joanna Milne in Sept 2024, this independent gallery is proud to showcase some of the finest artists in the country.

At The Gallery visitors can explore a carefully curated selection of original contemporary paintings, sculptures and ceramics, with each piece reflecting the unique vision and skill of the artist behind it. However, The Gallery is more than just a space for art; it’s a community hub where enthusiasts and collectors can connect, explore and enjoy the diverse range of work on display.

“Our 400 square foot space gives our art space to breathe, while creating a sense of intimacy for visitors,” says Joanna. “We’re proud to display the works of numerous artists amid the property’s lovingly restored interior.”

The Gallery also hosts a number of events, starting with its Sparkling Saturdays on the first Saturday of each month, where a free glass of Prosecco is offered to each visitor as they explore the works on offer. They’re also offering complimentary mulled wine to coincide with the 2024 Christmas Lights Switch On this 28 Nov, warming you up while you browse the artwork after enjoying the lights and street market.
