Julie Anne Grange founded Feeling the Healing Ltd from a deeply personal place — her own journey of searching for ways to heal and rebuild her mental wellbeing. In the process she created wellness retreats that were accessible and affordable at just £40.
Julie was aware that many events in the wellness space were priced at a level that made them inaccessible to a large number of people. It spurred her on to create something different — a space where anyone could go, exactly as they were, and feel included, accepted, and supported without pressure or expectation.
Everything Julie offers through Feeling the Healing is something that has genuinely helped her. It’s not just a collection of practices; it’s a reflection of her own lived experience and what supported her during difficult times.
Julie was previously an ultra trail runner, completing 84 marathons, with her longest non-stop run at 106 miles. Spending time running through forests and along beautiful trails became a huge part of her healing. She realised that nature gave her space, clarity, and a sense of calm that she now shares with others through guided trail routes of around 5k at her events.
The events are designed to gently guide people back to themselves, offering yoga that is accessible to all levels, focusing on movement with the breath and being present in the moment. Cold water immersion is included as a way to help people step into discomfort and build mental resilience — learning that we can face challenges and regain control of our minds.
Julie also facilitates Soma Breathwork sessions, which begin with high-energy breathing to elevate mood and increase endorphins, followed by slower, more meditative techniques and visualisation to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Sessions are closed with sound healing, allowing participants to fully relax, reset, and leave feeling grounded and calm. Connection is a key part of what Julie creates. Each event finishes with time to come together over homemade cakes and drinks, giving people the opportunity to talk, share, and simply be.
