<p><a href="https://www.chigwell-school.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chigwell School</a> is a buzzy co-ed on the outskirts of London and Epping with a blend of academic success, sporting prowess and arty flamboyance. Founded in 1629, it&#8217;s set in 100 acres but is just a 10 min stroll from the tube. Want to pay it a visit? <p>Close to Chelmsford, <a href="https://www.felsted.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Felsted School</a> is a co-ed boarding and day educator with a progressive global curriculum for ages 4-18. With&nbsp;1,028&nbsp;pupils, it&#8217;s set in 80 acres, with the majority of senior pupils boarders. Named the Best Boarding School in the UK in 2023 by TES, its Open Mornings include <strong>6 Nov</strong> and <strong>10 Dec</strong> (Yr 7), <strong>26 April 2025</strong> (Yr 9), <strong>10 May 2025</strong> (Yrs 5-7) and <strong>17 May 2025</strong>&nbsp;(Sixth Form).</p>

<p>Halstead&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gosfieldschool.org.uk/admissions/visit-us/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gosfield School</a> an inclusive co-ed day indie, takes children on a journey from nursery to sixth form in a rural setting. Despite the grand exterior and the fact it&#8217;s nearly 100 years old,  this isn’t a school fixated on the past, with impressive modern buildings and facilities. <a href="https://www.gosfieldschool.org.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Head to their site</a> to find out when their Open Days are, as they&#8217;ve yet to announce <strong>particular dates</strong>. </p>

<p>A co-ed school and nursery for ages six months to 16 years, <a href="https://www.holmwood.house" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Holmwood House</a> is located in the leafy suburb of Lexden, 10 mins from Colchester, and has an impressive sporting, academic and pastoral pedigree. <p>St Michael&#8217;s nursery and prep co-ed for ages 3-11, is located in Leigh on Sea and has an emphasis on a holistic education. Known for its academic achievements (it’s rated excellent all round in its<a href="https://www.stmichaelsschool.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/57382_St-Michaels-C-of-E-EQI-Report-v5-2023-04-13.pdf"> latest ISI report</a>), it even has its own therapy dog, Maggie, who&#8217;s a firm favourite with pupils.
