After a luxury escape in an Essex vineyard with fridges pre-stocked with their own wine (yes, you really did read that correctly)? Toppesfield Vineyard’s the place. Close by the Essex/Suffolk border, their accommodation is contemporary in style and sleeps two to four adults, with two bedrooms complete with superking-size beds and en-suite bathrooms.

Downstairs, there’s a bijou (but fully equipped) kitchen, plus large open plan lounge/diner with picture windows overlooking the vineyard. There’s also glass sliding doors that lead onto the garden with your own patio, day bed, large dining table and four person Jacuzzi.

When it comes to entertainment you’ve plenty of options (aside from drinking their wine), with a 75” TV with Netflix and Sky Q, and Spotify and Alexa available through Sonos. All of this comes via a pretty impressive 300Mb broadband, meaning no lagging will happen while you binge watch that latest series. There’s even a tennis court if you fancy a couple of friendly matches (no McEnroe tantrums, if you please).

Food and drink-wise, there’s a BBQ outside for the warmer weather, with some great local butchers close by for high end bangers and burgers. There’s also an excellent range of restaurants and pubs for eating out, with owners Jane and Peter Moore recommending The White Hart in Great Yeldham and Finchingfield’s The Fox on the Green to their guests.

Then of course there’s the wine, with the option to tour the vineyard if staying in the house.
